Standards & Guidelines

Effective Date: 1 April 2026

1. Introduction

Mikrodrama Kids is a child-first digital storytelling platform designed for children aged 12 and below.

These Standards & Guidelines define the principles, expectations, and boundaries that govern all content, experiences, and interactions on the platform.

They exist to ensure that Mikrodrama Kids remains a safe, meaningful, and responsible digital environment for children, parents, caregivers, educators, and creators.

Mikrodrama Kids is not an open content platform. It is a curated environment guided by intentional design, responsible storytelling, and a commitment to children's wellbeing.

2. Our Core Principle

Mikrodrama Kids is built on a fundamental principle:

Children's wellbeing comes before engagement metrics.

The platform is not designed to maximise screen time, drive dependency, or encourage passive consumption.

Instead, it is designed to support:

  • meaningful storytelling
  • guided engagement
  • learning and imagination
  • healthy digital behaviour

3. Child-First Design Approach

All content and platform features must be aligned with a child-first approach.

This means content must:

  • be age-appropriate and developmentally suitable
  • support curiosity, creativity, and learning
  • avoid overstimulation, excessive intensity, or sensory overload
  • respect the emotional and psychological wellbeing of children

Content that prioritises attention capture over developmental value is not aligned with the platform.

4. Content Standards

All content on Mikrodrama Kids must adhere to clear and responsible standards.

Content must be suitable for children aged 12 and below and aligned with appropriate levels of maturity.

Content should encourage positive values, imagination, curiosity, empathy, and problem-solving.

Content must communicate clearly and responsibly, without misleading, confusing, or manipulating young viewers.

Content must respect cultural diversity, social values, and inclusivity.

Storytelling should be constructive, intentional, and appropriate for a young audience.

5. Prohibited Content

The following types of content are strictly not permitted on Mikrodrama Kids:

  • violence, abuse, or harmful behaviour
  • fear-based or psychologically distressing content
  • sexual or suggestive content
  • discrimination, harmful stereotypes, or exclusionary messaging
  • misleading, deceptive, or manipulative narratives
  • content designed to exploit children's attention or behaviour

Content that falls within grey areas or is deemed inappropriate may be restricted or removed at the sole discretion of Mikrodrama Kids.

6. Responsible Digital Experience

Mikrodrama Kids is designed to guide behaviour, not drive dependency.

The platform does not support:

  • infinite scrolling
  • endless autoplay loops
  • addictive engagement mechanics

Instead, the platform promotes:

  • controlled content flow
  • intentional viewing
  • structured engagement
  • meaningful interaction

Where appropriate, the platform may introduce:

  • natural pauses between content
  • prompts for reflection or discussion
  • encouragement of off-screen activities
  • interaction with caregivers

7. Role of Parents and Caregivers

Mikrodrama Kids recognises that parents and caregivers play a central role in shaping a child's digital experience.

The platform is designed to support:

  • co-viewing experiences
  • shared learning moments
  • guided discussions
  • parental awareness and involvement

Mikrodrama Kids does not replace parental responsibility. It supports and enhances it.

8. Creator Expectations

Creators contributing to Mikrodrama Kids are expected to uphold the highest standards of responsibility.

Creators must:

  • prioritise child safety and wellbeing
  • create with intention, not manipulation
  • avoid content designed to capture attention without value
  • respect platform standards at all times
  • ensure alignment with age-appropriate storytelling principles

Detailed operational requirements for creators are governed under separate creator documentation.

9. Platform Moderation and Enforcement

Mikrodrama Kids maintains strict control over content quality, safety, and suitability.

The platform reserves the right to:

  • review, approve, or reject any content
  • edit, restrict, or remove content
  • reclassify content where necessary
  • suspend or remove creators who do not meet platform standards

All moderation decisions are made in the interest of maintaining a safe, trusted, and high-quality environment for children.

10. Continuous Improvement

These Standards & Guidelines are designed to evolve over time.

They may be updated based on:

  • ongoing research
  • expert input
  • institutional collaboration
  • feedback from parents, educators, and users

Mikrodrama Kids is committed to continuously improving the quality, safety, and impact of its platform.

11. Final Position

Mikrodrama Kids is not designed for mass content consumption.

It is a curated, intentional, and responsibility-driven environment.

Every story, every experience, and every interaction is guided by one priority:

to support the wellbeing, development, and future of children.
